Hello Again, EQ Guy Here!!!
As you all heard right here on Friday, August 9, had an alert for a place called “Point Arenas, Chile” or about 1500 Miles SOUTH of Santiago. WELL, they had about a 7.2 there this week!!!!! Downgraded to a 6.8 there near a town called Chillán, Chile!!!!! And interestingly. . . AT the center of Downtown Chillan, Chile is the very beautiful arched Chillán Cathedral.
Well, that Cathedral ALSO happens to be a Memorial to the 30,000 victims of the 1939 Chillan Earthquake. . .there. That on Day 55 after landfall of Typhoon Francisco at Kyushu, Japan, so maybe the end of that alert?
Still an alert for Chicago at 5 to a 5.8, and today is Day 33 on that alert with Day 40 this week!!!
